We are now co-located with Tampa Bay Fencers at the Northdale Recreation Center - 15550 Spring Pine Dr Tampa FL 33624 - or click here for directions. We are (normally) in the large gym in Building B, with access from either the front or rear parking lot. If you can't find us, find an employee and ask where the fencing is!
Schedule (as of AUGUST 2019)
THERE WILL BE NO CLASS ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 15th, and MONDAY, AUGUST 19th due to instructor traveling for a HEMA event.
Classes are normally held twice weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Monday's class is currently focused on Saber, Rapier, Sidesword, and other single-handed swords of the 17th through 19th centuries. Thursday's classes are focused on Longsword, Dussack, and the other weapons of Joachim Meyer's 1570 manual.
Coming to your first lesson?
New or prospective club members may come and observe on any evening, however, new students planning to participate should plan on starting on the first Monday or Thursday of each month. The first class of the month of each type (one Monday and one Thursday each month) will be dedicated to free fencing for existing club members, and introductory lessons for new students.
Make sure to join our Facebook group and subscribe to notifications to keep an eye out for any announcements regarding classes. If a class is ever canceled we will post about it there. Our sessions include warm-ups, partner drills, group instruction, technique review, and light sparring.
Private lessons are offered on-demand pending availability - please contact Alex directly at for scheduling.
